Corporate Social Responsibility

Globinaco Sdn Bhd is actively engaged with the community by participating in charity project, fund raising project and donations. We believe in striking a balance between profitability and our social responsibility to the communities in which we operate.

By the nature of the businesses, Globinaco Sdn Bhd come into contact with the lives of many in the community in a daily basis. To inculcate the spirit of caring and sharing, Globinaco Sdn Bhd has always encourage its staff to share their skills and talents in service of others by contributing their time and energy voluntarily towards the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. Charity projects, fund-raising events and donations have been an on-going aspect of operations as a social commitment.

Our Business Practices

Environmental efforts

Our daily and responsibility of every employee of the organisation is to look after the environment. Businesses, regardless of size, have large carbon footprints. Monthly monitoring of monetary usage of paper and printing cost are tabulated and presented in bi-weekly Group Meetings.

Philanthropy

We practise giving back to society a portion of our profits by donating in monetary terms, products and services to social causes and nonprofits. We hope that our plentiful resources can benefit charities and local community programs. We focus on contributing to religious communities as well as helping the less fortunate and younger generation in hope for a better future for them.

Ethical labour practices

We demonstrate CSR by treating our employees fairly and ethically. All employees are paid at least the Malaysia minimum wage in accordance with the National Wages Consultative Council Act 2011[Act 732], Minimum Wages Order 2020 and Sections 2, 18, 19,20,21,22 & 24 of the Employment Act 1955 (Act 265);; Regulation 9 of the Employment Regulations 1957.

Volunteering

MK Group encourages staff to participating in local causes as well as volunteering our time in community events. By doing good deeds without expecting anything in return, companies can express their concern and support for specific issues and social causes.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) ACTIVITIES

At MK Group, we define business success as more than just profits, but also in terms of our ability to use our influence and presence to create a better society based on “shared prosperity” principles. The Idiom “Prosper Thy Neighbour” is always close to our heart in defining our corporate goals and aspirations which encompass the following:

  • Conducting business is a socially responsible and ethical manner
  • Protecting the environment and the safety of people
  • Supporting human rights
  • Engaging, respecting, supporting and empowering local communities
  • Helping the underprivileged and giving back to the community

These aspirations are achieved through continuous year-round programmes organised by the group or in partnership with others whereby MK Group has contributed in terms of expertise, funds, and employee participation. These programmes also include support to charitable community projects and the group’s unwavering commitment to do its part to contribute to the less fortunate and needy in our society.
